    What is Bee?
    A

    Bee is a new alternative to ordinary banking built on the principles of fairness and respect. Our mission is to deliver financial services to everyone that are clear, convenient, personal, and fair.

    At its core, Bee provides an easy way to spend, manage, and save your money. The Bee mobile app allows you to conveniently manage your accounts—a primary account for what you spend and the Bee Vault for what you save. A linked Visa debit card can be used to make purchases or withdraw cash from ATMs anywhere Visa is accepted.

    With Bee, there is no minimum balance requirement, no monthly service fee, no overdraft, and no surprises.

    What fees does Bee charge?
    A

    Unlike many banks and prepaid cards, there is no minimum balance requirement, no monthly service fee, and no overdraft fees (because we don’t let you overdraft!). With Bee, there are never hidden or confusing fees.

    With Bee, you’ll only pay the following fees:

    ATM fee. With Bee, your first two ATM withdrawals each month are completely free—we’ll even reimburse any ATM operator fees! After that, Bee charges a $2 ATM fee (in addition to any fees charged by the ATM operator).

    Mobile check deposit fee. You have two check deposit options with Bee. If you’d like your funds immediately upon approval (within 30 minutes), you’ll be charged a 1% fee. But, if you choose to receive the funds within 5 business days, there is no fee.

    Foreign transaction fee. Your Bee card can be used abroad, but you’ll be charged a 3% fee for any transactions in foreign currencies.

    That’s it. There are no other fees that Bee charges. Here’s a list of all things you will never get charged a fee for:

    • Live customer service (24/7)
    • Replacement cards
    • Direct deposit
    • Purchases with your Bee card (PIN and signature)
    • In-app bill pay
    • Mailed checks

    How do I apply for Bee?
    A

    You can apply for Bee in less than 10 minutes right from your Android or iOS smartphone! To get started, click below to download the Bee app:

    You can also download the app by searching for “Bee Account” on Google Play or the App Store.

    All you need to enroll is your own phone number & email address, a Social Security Number (SSN) or Individual Tax Identification Number (ITIN),and to be 18 years or older.

    How much does it cost to open a Bee account?

    There is no cost whatsoever for opening a Bee account!

    If I have bad credit can I still apply for Bee?
    A

    Yes! We designed Bee for everyone, and there is no credit check to sign up.

    How long will it take for my Bee card to arrive?
    A

    You should receive your personalized Bee Card within 7–10 business days of opening your account. Remember, your Bee app will work even before you receive your card so you can set up direct deposit, deposit your first check, and start paying bills!

    Where are your locations?

    We’ve replaced branches with technology so we can pass the cost savings to you! With the Bee app, you can access your account whenever and wherever is most convenient for you. If you’d like to talk to a person about your Bee account we have free customer service, just call (866) 218-6688.

    Is my money safe with Bee?
    A

    Yes—all funds with Bee are FDIC insured. Your funds are held by our partner bank, Community Federal Savings Bank, which is FDIC insured. Additionally, with Visa Zero Liability, you’re protected against unauthorized purchases.*

    *Visa Zero Liability policy covers U.S.-issued cards only and does not apply to ATM transactions, PIN transactions not processed by Visa, or certain commercial card transactions. Cardholder must notify issuer promptly of any unauthorized use. Consult issuer for additional details or visit www.visa.com/security.

    How can I close my Bee account?
    A

    If you would like to close your account, please call customer service at (866) 218-6688. If you have funds remaining in your Bee account, a check will be mailed to you within 30 days of closing your account. We hate to see you go, but there is no cost for closing your Bee account.
